Hi!<br/><br/>I'm Gertie! Nice to meet you. I have been in rescue for a little over a month now and I have been working very hard on my fitness. I was and am still very overweight but with a new diet and exercise plan I am slowly but surely finding success. I LOVE my dog friends and they bring me comfort. I can be shy at first but that is just me settling in. <br/>I am around 8 years old and I look forward to meeting you and becoming best friends who navigate life together. <br/><br/>Please note: All of our dogs reside in private foster homes. Once you submit an application, our volunteer adoption team will screen it; if your application is a potential match for a specific dog, it will be forwarded to the foster parent, who will contact you to answer questions and schedule a meet-and-greet. Please be aware that we do not transport our dogs.
