Big Bertha's Story

Big Bertha is a character and a hoot! She is full of life and energy and never met a stranger. Bertha came to the shelter 5/24/23 pregnant at age 2 years weighing 43 lbs. She went to a foster home and had 10 puppies! She's been at that foster home since but had to return to the shelter spring of 2026 because her foster dad could no longer keep her. She enjoys being outside and playing with other dogs and loves to hike, run and explore, as most big dogs do! Bertha is heartworm negative, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. These updated photos were taken 4/3/26 when Bertha was 5 years old. Call (434) 374-8076 or email lakecountryspca@yahoo.com. Visit LCSPCA Mon-Sat from 12-4pm at 11764 Highway 15, Clarksville, VA to adopt. No appt. necessary. Website is lakecountryspca.org.
