Big Beautiful Boy - adoption pending's Story

We have not chosen a name for this amazing creature yet but our beautiful big boy is ready for his forever home. Our Big boy is truly big, he is a 155 pound neutered mastiff mix, estimated to be 2-3 years old. He was originally found as a stray, very skinny and neglected back in April and taken to the Oregon Coast Humane Society. He was adopted by someone looking for a personal protection dog. Although Big boy is physically intimidating, his gentle friendly nature made it impossible for him to be a true guard dog. He is meant to be a house dog, not a farm dog. It was relayed to us that he wanted to chase sheep. He might also have a prey drive towards cats, so a home without cats would be best.

Our big boy loves everybody! He has no instinct for being territorial, protective, or possessive. He loves meeting new people. He is also completely non-reactive, polite, and friendly with other dogs and has wonderful social skills. He has wonderful house manners, is not destructive, does not bark and is house broken. His favorite activities including cuddling and going for walks.

Our big boy will need daily exercise, but he is not a high energy dog. His overall temperament is very calm, relaxed, and gentle. He walks well on a leash. He is very strong and will need a very competent and experienced mastiff owner. He takes direction and listens well and is very accommodating but needs a home with adults only due to his large size and people with mastiff or large breed experience. We have also learned that he loves to ride in the car and is a great traveler. Our veterinarian examined him and found him in excellent health. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $625.

Apply for him here - https://luvabledogrescue.org/how-to-adopt/
