Bibi/adoption pending

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us, do not click the Start Your Inquiry button, since that doesn't count as an application and we will not respond to it. Go to Medfieldshelter.com/adopt and fill out our application. That is the first step in our adoption process.

Bibi is a gorgeous and very sweet 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever. She was recently surrendered to us by her family, who loved her very much but knew she needed more than they could provide right now. Bibi previously lived with elementary-aged kids and did very well with them. She is good with other animals and enjoys playing with other dogs. She loves a good game of fetch! She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. Her previous owners crated her overnight when she was alone at home, since she sometimes gets into things she shouldn't. She walks very nicely on leash and doesn't pull at all.

If a dog is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption; however, other applications may have been received ahead of yours. All adoption meetings are by appointment.

Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.

With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
