Bianca's Story

Over 18 million dogs live on Mexico's streets. The Meximutt Project, a BAPBR initiative, tackles this crisis at the source—through comprehensive spay/neuter programs and by connecting rescued dogs with loving Oregon families.

Since 2019: 400+ dogs adopted, 3,200+ spayed/neutered.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING? No, not 100% yet -- Please keep in mind that our dogs are rescued off the streets, they are NOT always 100% housebroken and will need time and patience to adjust. Even in a foster home in Mexico, the dogs are often living in an environment with no carpet or grass or living outside. In the house, it is usually tile flooring and outside it is dirt/concrete. Most of our dogs transition well and only need about 1-2 weeks to get on a potty schedule/routine.

• LOCATION: Currently in Guadalajara foster care. 2-4 weeks to arrange flight once adoption is approved

**Meet BIANCA**

On September 22nd, someone moved away and left Bianca behind—a three-year-old Chihuahua mix who had known only one home, one family, one life. A concerned neighbor couldn't bear to see her abandoned and took her in temporarily, then reached out to a rescuer friend who knew exactly where this sweet girl needed to be.

That's how Bianca arrived at the Meximutt Project: scared, nervous, too thin, and carrying the weight of being left behind by the only family she'd ever known.

**Blossoming in Safety**

Watch Bianca now and you'd never guess the anxious, tense dog she was just weeks ago. With proper meals and patient love, she's gained healthy weight and something even more precious—confidence. The nervousness has melted away, replaced by the gentle, affectionate nature that was always there, just waiting for a safe place to emerge.

"She's completely transformed," her foster mom says. "She's calm now, loving, ready to give and receive all the affection she deserves."

What Bianca discovered in her foster home is that love doesn't always leave. Sometimes it shows up in new places, exactly when you need it most.

**The Professional Lap Warmer**

Bianca has earned her title as a "perrita chicle"—a little velcro dog who's mastered the art of being the perfect companion. Her favorite place in the world? Your lap. Her favorite activity? Curling up against you for long, peaceful naps where she can soak up all the warmth and security she craves.

An endearing quirk she has is that she perpetually seems to be cold (even when it’s warm out!). This girl gravitates toward warmth like a compass finding north—sunny spots, cozy blankets, warm laps (though we suspect that seeking physical warmth is only a part of it).

She's not demanding or hyperactive—she simply wants to be near you, sharing space and warmth like the comfort-seeking soul she is.

**A Gentle Social Butterfly**

Bianca is remarkably social, getting along beautifully with other dogs and cats. She's curious about feline housemates without being problematic, and while she's not the type to initiate rowdy play sessions with other dogs, she enjoys their company in her own calm way.

And with people of all ages, she's pure sweetness—affectionate, cuddly, and always seeking connection.

She's making progress with house training and learning household routines with the patience of someone who genuinely wants to be good. She's not destructive, can handle being alone for a few hours when necessary, and strikes that beautiful balance between loving companionship and quiet independence.

**Ready for Her Forever Warmth**

Bianca doesn't need grand adventures or constant entertainment. She’s looking for a family who understands that the best relationships are built on loyalty and consistent presence.

She's proven that she’s resilient, that she can trust again after being left behind. She's shown she can blossom into a beautiful personality when given patience and love. Now she's ready for the forever family who will never make her forget that she was ever abandoned by one.

Are you ready to be Bianca's forever warmth?

***************************************

READY TO APPLY?
