Bezos (AO37019)'s Story
Meet BEZOS this SATURDAY, OCT 24 from 12 to 3PM at our PET ADOPTION EVENT at the MERRIAM PETSMART located at 5810 Antioch Rd, Merriam, KS 66202. Join us at Merriam Petsmart and meet your perfect match. We’ll have DOGS, PUPPIES & KITTIES ready to steal your heart!

ALSO THIS WEEKEND:

SATURDAY, OCT 24 from 12 to 3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at PETSMART in OLATHE (119th & Strang Line) with Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!

WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS FOR ADOPTIONS:
SATURDAY, OCT 24: CLOSED (Visit our pet adoption events!)
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25: OPEN 10AM to 2PM, NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED!

KCK Animal Services is located at 3301 Park Drive, KCK.

-----------

Meet BEZOS!

Imagine being dumped beside the railroad tracks—left completely alone, crying in severe pain, with no way of knowing if anyone was coming to help you.

That was Bezos.

He was found along Kaw Drive with a skin infection so severe that he was bleeding and missing much of his fur. When Jenny, our vet tech, began assessing him, Bezos simply melted into her. It felt like he finally realized someone was there to help him... and possibly like it was the first time anyone had ever truly cared for him.

But now look at him! His skin has healed, his beautiful coat has grown back, and he’s finally feeling as wonderful as he looks.

Bezos adores people, loves kids, and does well with other dogs. He is curious about cats, so he would just need a slow introduction. More than anything, he wants to be close to his people—following them from room to room, leaning in for cuddles, and soaking up all the love he can get.

Someone once left Bezos behind as though he didn’t matter. Now we need someone to show him that he always did.

Bezos is a 2 year old Pit Bull mix and he weighs 50 lbs.

ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/FriendsofKCKAS/ for more info about weekend adoption hours, events and available pets.

We are open Monday through Friday by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.

FOSTERING
Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
