Betty is all personality! A friendly free spirit that everyone adores! <br/><br/>Betty is an approximately 2 year old, 15# Shihtzu mix that had been seen around a Rockford neighborhood for 4 months but would run from people. This is a very normal behavior for dogs that have been loose for more than 3 days. Once Betty was coaxed i side by a neighbor who had been earning her trust through his dog Boone, Betty melted back to normal dog mode. We picked her up. She was a matted burr filled mess! There was no microchip and she was not claimed. We did immediately shave her to give her relief.. she felt so much better! Betty is a friendly dog that loves people, especially men. She’s also full of personality and loves to explore and sniff! She could easily get carried away and wander too far so we are seeking a fenced in back yard. Betty is great with other dogs so a dog friend for her would be wonderful. Betty also enjoys snuggles on the couch and relaxing time. We don’t have any concerns with her with children but would be cautious if children are coming and going and not watching the door. <br/><br/>Betty came to us potty trained which is amazing! She’s a very smart, adventurous and spunky young lady. We’re so excited to see this pup start her next chapter. She is spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250.
