Betty's Story

Betty is a sweet and silly mastiff mix. At about 120 lbs, she is lean, beautiful, and loves to play and run!

She was rescued from the North Central Shelter where she was originally brought in as a stray. She is lovely on a leash, food-motivated, and responds well to training and direction. Betty has been socialized 3-4 times a week for the past year at doggy daycare where she is a favorite of her sitter because she tires out all the other dogs! That said, she can also be quite lazy and she loves to nap and sleep in her crate.

Betty does well with other dogs but does have a tendency to guard her "person" in her home setting. She will do best in a home with working dog experience that can offer her the boundaries necessary to help her thrive. If you are interested in adopting Betty please fill out an application on our website.
