Meet Betty Crocker! Betty Crocker is a 1.5-year-old, 52-pound girl who brings a fun mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. She's easy to take in and out of her kennel, and while she may jump up a bit with excitement at first, she settles quickly and spends the rest of her time showing off her good manners. On leash, Betty may pull initially when she's excited to get going, but she quickly settles into a relaxed, loose leash walk. She truly shines once she finds her rhythm and enjoys taking her time to sniff and explore, making her a wonderful walking companion. Betty hops right into the car and rides well, either enjoying the breeze with her head out the window or curling up for a nap. She's an easy travel buddy and would love to tag along for outings and adventures. She knows "sit," is very treat motivated, and takes treats gently. Betty enjoys a variety of enrichment, including toys, Nylabones, and bully sticks, and can entertain herself when the mood strikes. Playful when she wants to be but also able to relax, Betty Crocker has a nice balance of energy and calm. Whether she's out exploring a trail or lounging after a good walk, she's an easy, enjoyable companion ready to fit right into her future home. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Guilford County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We are open for walk-up registration no appointment needed appointments from 12pm to 4:00pm every day except Tuesdays. We are located at 980 Guilford College Rd. Greensboro, NC 27409. 1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet: Ask staff any questions about any known history or medical concerns. 2. Meet the Pet: Spend time with the pet that you are interested in adopting. There are areas available for you to interact with your future pet. 3. Submit Application: Bring the completed application, your valid ID, and the pet's kennel card to the front desk for processing. 4. Pay Fee: Dogs $50, Cats $25, Kittens/Puppies $75, Senior dogs $25, Senior cats $10 5. Take the Pet Home: We recommend that your current pets are up to date on all of their vaccines before bringing home your new pet. All dog and cat adoptions include age appropriate vaccines, rabies vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter, full body checkup, and flea and tick treatment. If the dog or cat you choose to adopt is already spayed or neutered, they can go home the same day; otherwise, the spay/neuter surgery is scheduled when you adopt, and you can pick up your new pet after the surgery.
