Betty's Story

**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Hi, I'm Betty, an 9-month-old pup. My brother Barney and I were abandoned on a country road until a kind sheriff officer rescued us. Our breed is a mystery, with some guessing Shepherd/ Great Dane mix.

Betty's foster Mom says she's very sweet & shy, calm & quiet and figuring out her new surroundings. She weighs 52 lbs and has plenty more growing to do. Her past is unclear but with a calm, patient, loving home she will surely fit right in. She loves being around other dogs, cats unclear (as there aren't any in her current foster home).

Apply here to meet Betty (must reside within 40 miles of the Albany Airport):

http://www.homewardbounddogrescue.com/application.php

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
