Betty's Story

Meet Wiggle Butt Betty! This beautiful brindle Bullmastiff mix is 4 years old, 87 pounds, and full of love. After spending 2 years in a shelter, Betty is finally getting the chance to show everyone what an amazing dog she truly is and she is SO ready for a forever family of her own.

Betty is a truly wonderful and beautiful brindle Bullmastiff mix. At 4 years old and 87 pounds, she is a giant bundle of love wrapped in a wagging tail and a goofy smile.

This happy-go-lucky sweetheart greets people with full-body wiggles and quickly wins hearts with her affectionate nature. Betty loves belly rubs, attention, and spending time with her people. She is eager to please and already knows sit, stay, and paw. She's also housebroken, enjoys food puzzles and crinkle toys, and has a good recall.

Like many large dogs who may not have had much guidance before rescue, Betty can get a little overexcited at times. She may jump up when she's especially happy and can pull on leash, but she's responsive to structure and enjoys learning. Her desire to please makes her a fun and rewarding companion.

Betty could do well in a home with a compatible dog, but her adopters should understand the importance of slow, proper introductions to set everyone up for success. Because of her size and occasional enthusiasm, she would do best in a home with teens and older.

Most of all, Betty is looking for a family to call her own. After waiting far too long, this beautiful girl deserves a soft couch, loving people, and a forever home where she'll never be overlooked again.

Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus's Adoption Policy
The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the breed/species-specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com. We do a vet check, landlord/association verification, and home visit to ensure a permanent placement for our wonderful animals. Thank you for considering rescue! We look forward to working with you. IDR+ is a network of foster homes; therefore, we do not have a location to visit. The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com for a Doberman, Plus dog (non-Dobe), or cat. Approved adopters are then directed to our foster homes.
