Betty 's Story
Available in Denver

Are you looking for the sweetest girl ever? Then you’ve found her! Betty is a 4-5 year old 48 pound shepherd/cattle dog/aussie type mix of perfection.

This sweet girl was found in New Mexico with 1 day old puppies. All her pups have been adopted and now it’s her turn! This gal has been a mother many many times and we are so happy (and we are sure she is too) that she is spayed and done with that life and ready to move on to her new life and family! She is extremely sweet and loves all humans she meets - big and small. She adores kids. She has been good with other dogs but is very happy being your only dog as well. She has been potty trained and is crate trained. She walks well on the leash and is learning basic commands. Everything is very new for her- this gal lived a life on the reservation and had never been in a house or on a leash before - so we are thrilled with how quickly she’s adapting. She’s still shy with new things like learning the stairs - but she’s food motivated and that’s been very helpful getting her comfortable in new situations. The first few days she didn’t want to come inside, but with our persistence she did and quickly realized how lovely it was to sit on the dog bed by the fire. She is a submissive girl and very calm and sweet. She is a quiet gal and really well behaved. She would do fine with a yard or do great in a condo, townhouse, apartment with regular walks. She’s a very easy going gal and will make an amazing companion.

This girl hopes to find her forever family by Christmas! If you think that may be you please send in an application as the first step! www.soardogs.org
