Betts's Story

Meet Betts (affectionately named after Mookie Betts)! Betts is a sweet Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) mix. He was found in the desert with three other dogs similar aged (likely litter mates and potentially dumped and left to fend for themselves). They were of course very scared and painfully thin when they came in but they have all come such a long way.

While he's made progress, the shelter is still a scary place for him. He stays curled up in the corner of his kennel, hoping the world will slow down.

Once you get him outside, he seems to enjoy walking next to you. He walks great on leash and would probably make tremendous progress in a home environment.

He needs a patient person who will let him move at his own pace. With time, we are sure this guy will turn into the loyal companion he's meant to be.

He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready for his forever home! His adoption fee is $100! Apply now!
