Betsy's Story

Betsy came in as a stray on 12-18-25 with her friend Caroline.
Betsy is a 3 year old female who was very scared when she first arrived and was very shut down but is now doing extremely well and is available for adoption.
She loves stuffies and is now excited to greet everyone. She has big butt wiggles to match her big goofy grin that makes her whole body shake. She also likes to lean and sit in your lap. She is a calm dog who would do best in a quiet household.
She did live with another dog previously but is very dog selective and would prefer a home without other dogs or cats.

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
