Bertha

Bertha is a beautiful hound girl in need of a foster or adopter. She's been living in a Massachusetts home for 3 months where she's made a lot of progress. She's housebroken, social and affectionate. She also just completed a seven week Canine good citizen basic obedience class where she learned sit, down, stay, loose leash walking. Bertha likes to spend time with her people; she loves her toys and will entertain herself; she would enjoy a fenced yard where she can sniff and watch the birds and squirrels. Bertha is pretty well-mannered - she doesn't counter-surf and is quiet for a hound. She'll sleep quietly through the night in her own bed. Bertha would be most comfortable around older children. She is dog-selective and would probably be happiest as an only dog. Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
