Bertha's Story

Bertha is a black lab/border collie mix with medium long hair and white markings. She is medium size at about 45 pounds. She is a dominate female who does okay with other dogs who are not dominate, but would be better as either a single dog, or adopted with her littermate, Knox. Bertha has been spayed and is current on her healthcare, including Frontline and Heartgard. While she has had some contact with cats, it cannot be claimed that future cats will be 100% safe! She is a great dogs for someone looking for "barking" watchdogs that is undemanding but appreciative of any love and attention coming her way. Fenced yard a must as chaining and penning are not allowed, and while she is not official "housedogs", she is very polite and it is unlikely that housetraining would be difficult. She is too shy to deal with children. This girl needs your <br/>love and patience. Call to meet her. When you see her you will have to take her home. Check our pet list for other great pets. Our Mission
Tracy Campbell started rescuing animals from JCAS in 2014, 1 at a time. She would have them vetted, then find them great homes. She realized that the need was greater than one at a time, and she teamed up with Michelle Bryant, also a Jasper county resident and animal lover, to recreate the Humane Society that had been lying...
