Bertha<br/>1yr old Bulldog/Sharpei mix<br/><br/>My name is Bertha and for the last 7 months I have been living with a loving family who has spoiled me with cuddles and toys. I’m an adorable Shar Pei Bulldog mix and my traits are true to my breeds.<br/><br/>In my time living with this family, I have learned that I am more of a people dog, rather than a dog’s dog. As a result, I am looking for a home where I am the only doggo to be fawned over and spoiled with cuddles, toys, treats and kisses.<br/><br/>I warm up quickly to new humans, especially if they come bearing treats or stuffed toys. I love humans of all sizes, but am strong and like can be a bit mouthy when I play so older, dog savvy children would be recommended.<br/><br/>I am crate trained and love to go in my crate to play with my toys, eat treats or relax<br/><br/>My favourite toy is a flirt pole that I will chase until I’m exhausted.<br/><br/>While I train really well with treats, when I’m outside on my leash I am a bit hypervigilant. My current family is muzzle training me for going on walks when other dogs are out.<br/><br/>Bertha has not been cat tested, but it would be recommended that she be the only animal in the home.<br/><br/>The adoption fee is $600 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.<br/>**For puppies under 6 months a $200 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**<br/>**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**<br/>***We do require every applicant to provide a vet reference and we do follow up with your vet. If you do not currently have a vet as you have no pets, we strongly encourage you to do your research and contact vets to make sure they are accepting new patients. You must have a vet in place before bringing a new dog home. You will be required to give your vet permission to release information to us, we also require two personal references as well that will be contacted. We have policy and procedure in place while screening homes. If a family refuses any step in the process they will not qualify for adoption. We are not currently doing adoptions across the boarder.***
