Bert K21's Story

This 4-year-old, 57-pound handsome hunk is looking for a home that appreciates a dog who knows exactly who he is. Bert is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who prefers peace over chaos and absolutely refuses to participate in unnecessary drama.

In Play Group, Bert is the calm, cool, and collected gentleman. He'll greet a few dogs, exchange a polite sniff, and then happily wander off to do his own thing. He's respectful with other pups and expects the same in return. If another dog gets a little too bouncy or forgets their manners, Bert is great at setting respectful boundaries like the mature king he is.

Bert is an independent explorer with a heart of gold. He does have some hearing loss and may need a little patience as he settles into a new routine, especially with indoor habits, but he's smart, adaptable, and ready to learn. While he's definitely got that "I've got places to be" energy, he absolutely enjoys those sweet little cuddle moments with the people he trusts.

Bert would likely do best in an indoor/outdoor home, with plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors. He seems happiest when he has space to explore, sniff, and enjoy life at his own pace, while still having a safe, cozy place inside to relax and recharge.

If you're looking for a low-drama best friend with good manners, a gentle soul, and just the right amount of independent spirit, Bert might just be your guy.
