Bert's Story

Hi I’m Bert!

I'm not your typical pup. Unfortunately, I come from a puppy mill where I had limited human interaction. Because of this, I need a patient person who can truly understand and meet my needs.

I require a dog-friendly companion to help me adjust to a new environment. Right now, I don’t go potty outside and prefer to have a designated area where I can go when I’m unsupervised. I’m also not leash trained and could be a flight risk if taken outside, so I need a secure, fenced-in yard.

While I enjoy being petted, I need a slow, gentle approach. I’m a big fan of food and bones—bones help keep me occupied when I’m in my safe space and left alone.

If you're willing to be patient and meet these needs, with a friendly dog and a fenced yard, I would love to meet you.
