Berry's Story

Berry is a very playful puppy, he loves to play tug, fetch, and chase his foster brothers in the yard. He's a quick learner and has already several commands! He can sit, lay down, spin, touch, and put his front paws on an elevated surface.

With all his intelligence, he'll need a good schedule and time to work his brain, he's mastered the puzzle feeder and loves lick mats to keep him entertained. Berry can also be a difficult puppy at times, since he grew up outside running at large (him and his siblings had to be trapped at around 8 weeks old). Structure and enrichment will be important for his owners. We highly recommend a trainer, as he'll probably need some more help in the house with learning how to settle and be calm by himself.

Berry can not go to a home with children (NOT an option). He doesn't like to be fussed with and is doesn't hesitate to growl or use his mouth. He's not really biting with intent to hold on but if you grab him and he doesn't want that he'll go to teeth pretty quickly. Berry is a great puppy with great potential but it's very important that he goes into the appropriate home. He is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and his adoption fee is $300.

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
