• Adoption fees are as follows: 2-5 months old: $400, 6-9 months old: $350, 10+ months old: $250. This covers their Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Microchip, 4DX, Fecal Tests, and Housing Costs.

Name: Berry (FKA: Chelan)

Age or Date of Birth: Approximately 10 months as of November 2021

Activity Level: Active to Moderate. I need daily exercise – either a walk or extended playtime -- but I am also a big cuddler.

Things I do in my free time: Play (I love to chew and squeak my squeakie toys!) by myself and with my dog siblings, nap, and gaze lovingly at my humans.

Who I currently live with (humans and animals): Two adult humans (male and female); 4 human kids ranging from 10-20 years; 2 dog siblings (1 male pug-beagle mix, 1 female pitbull-pug mix).

How I do with kids: I lovvvve them!

How I do with dogs: I love love love dogs of all sizes! I would prefer to be Dog #2 (or more) in my forever home, but I am great as an only-doggo, too.

How I do with cats: Unreactive to the few I have met, but I haven’t lived with one!

My current size: ~35 pounds but I will fill out and probably be 45 eventually.

How I do in my kennel: I’m learning to love it! I sleep in my kennel overnight and I do great. Sometimes I cry when I am kenneled during the day, but I always settle down quickly.

How I do in car rides: I like car rides! I eventually settle down on the floor or a seat. I sit really nicely until I’m called to come out of the car.

Am I house trained?: Yes

Things I know:
· Commands: “Sit”, “Berry Stays”, “Wait for it”, “Watch me!” “Lie Down”.
· Walking on a leash
· Recall: “Berry come!”
· I am not at all protective of my toys and food, I am a super mellow girl.
· How to play well with dogs of all sizes

Things I am learning/currently working on:
· Still a little mouthy when I am feeling playful, but the older I get, this getting rarer. And I am super gentle anyway and have not hurt anyone when I do mouth.
· I am learning not to jump up and be overexcited at introductions. I’m getting really good at lying down at intros with a command. But I am just a puppy!
· Working on confidence! I am shy with humans, but once I get to know you, my love is boundless. I warm up slow, but I am very gentle, even when I’m scared.

Berry (FKA Chelan) is the sweetest girl. We can’t believe she hasn’t been adopted yet – she is through and through a terrific dog! She’s smart, obedient, and eager to please. She learns tricks and commands quickly and plays well with all dogs and humans. She is affectionate, well-mannered, cuddly, gentle, and a truly gorgeous dog. She barely sheds and barks. She is the perfect mix of play and mellow, and any person or family who brings Berry in as a forever dog is going to be rewarded with a beautiful, gentle, silly, loyal, and loving dog who is great with other animals and great with all kinds of humans. She loves to play and exercise and would do best with a daily walk or exercise, but she is not overly active, and she literally puts herself to bed at 9pm sharp. It’s hilarious!
Berry is working on building confidence. She is very shy with new humans and is scared of men, but she warms up to everyone eventually. She loves her foster dad, he’s her favorite person, but it took about a month for her to get there! She is always very gentle and obedient, so even if she is scared of you, she just really wants to love you. Her forever family will just need to know that she might be timid at first but her wonderful, loving, playful personality is right under the surface.
Please give this sweet, scared girl a chance! With a little patience she is going to make a forever home very happy, and she will love you so much.
