Bernie is not the dog for someone who values a quiet, predictable life--or their fingers. He thrives on a bit of chaos and seems to take great pride in keeping everyone on their toes.<br/>That said, Bernie does have his softer moments. With people he knows and trusts, he can settle down and enjoy a good cuddle--but always on his terms. Bernie appreciates an owner who understands his independent spirit and respects his boundaries.<br/>Bernie does get along with other dogs and often enjoys their company. However, he has been known to recruit his canine friends into whatever mischief he happens to be planning that day.<br/>Because of his bold personality, Bernie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a dog with a big attitude and a sense of humor.
