Bernard's Story

ID 61542417

Meet Bernard! This young Belgian boy of about 5-6 months is ready to find his home that will understand that his cute puppy phase will need the work to set up for success as he grows into an adolescent and then, into adulthood.

Bernard’s breed is a working /sporting breed that will require exercise, training, socialization and patience. He already participates in the game of fetch, plays tug, and is ready to learn more. He is at the phase right that anything fun that moves, might just end up in his mouth. Bernard does know “sit”, loves some yummy treats, and is doing some good work on recall. He does love affection and praise, which will help him in training to know he is doing a good job. He has done good on his leashed walks, and will require consistency to keep him in check.
He does have his Belgian voice already, and will let folks/dogs know he is around when he wants to.

He has met some shelter dogs in the yard, but, his breed can be a bit bossy so that is something to consider as he grows out of puppyhood.

While Bernard is quite the looker, and has all the cute puppy qualities, he still will need to work to be done that is required of this breed. We are looking for a person who has breed experience, and knows what it takes for him to succeed.
If you are interested, please fill out an application on line with breed experience along with emailing pevolaba@gmail.com to set up a meet, or with any questions.
