Bernard, Bern, Bernardo, if you will.<br/>Bernard came to us from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, where it was determined that he was blind. We just could not leave him there!! Our vet has determined that he is blind in his right eye, and had limited sight in his left eye. He is not in any pain at all  and his sight impairment does bit affect his ability to run, play and snuggle!!<br/><br/><br/>The ultimate old man snooze machine. Bern is about 7.5 years old, and he is sure to let you know he needs his rest. He loves to sleep, and cuddle with his people.<br/><br/><br/>But, don't be fooled, once you get him in the sun he has the best zoomies, and loves to run around and search for you. His vision impairment doesn't slow him down, and is quick to pick up the lay of the land. He may bonk his big block head a few times, but will find his way in no time!<br/><br/><br/>He gets along great with smaller animals, both dogs and cats. Due to his sight impairment, he does get startled sometimes when approached from the side from larger dogs. At this time we do not recommend that he be in a household with multiple dogs.
