Bernadette's Story

Hi! My name is Bernadette! I'm a 6-month old female beagle. I'm red & white & I'm quite stunning! I'm a very affectionate & loving girl! I'm easygoing also! But I'm also a very young beagle with puppy energy! I used to belong to a hunter, but he didn't want me anymore. I lived in a pen then. I was taken in by a kind person, but she can't keep me. I need a home where I will be loved & the people will be patient with me as I learn about living in a home (housetraining, house manners). I am crate trained. I ride well in a car! I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be spayed on Tues., 6/30/26. Then I'm ready to move to my forever home! Are you it?? Please think about making me part of your family! I weigh about 30 lbs. Nittany Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog & Nittany Beagle Rescue! We are a foster-home based rescue. We hold showings on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month at Lyons Kennels in Bellefonte, PA from 11am - 1pm. You can meet some of our dogs then! Please email or send a PM on our FB page if you want to know if a particular dog will be at the showing. If you are interested in a particular dog, or a type of dog, please submit an application to foster or adopt (it's the same application form). Once you have an approved application for a dog, we will connect you with the dog's foster parent. Typically the potential adopter & foster talk on the telephone first. Then if the dog seems like a good fit, we arrange a personal meet & greet.
