They are groomed regularly and they are very sweet and well-behaved little pups. They are accustomed to someone being home all day, so a retired person/couple will be ideal.<br/><br/>Lexi is definitely the leader of the two and while she is very sweet and loving as well, she is also the sassier of the two and exhibits more true terrier behavior than her brother. Bentley loves affection and is more of a “lap dog” than Lexi, who will snuggle up with you more on her terms.<br/><br/>Both dogs love the great outdoors and enjoy spending time in the yard, so a very secure fenced-in yard is an absolute requirement. They also LOVE to go for walks, but they do act up when they see another dog walking by, so they need to be kept under tight control until the danger “passes.”<br/><br/>Bentley and Lexi love the next-door-neighbor’s two small dogs and play very well together with them; however, they get pretty feisty when meeting new dogs (especially Lexi). For this reason, it would be best if they were the only dogs in the home, however, given proper, slow introductions they would be able to accept another small dog. Large dogs seem to intimidate them.<br/><br/>Small children also scare them, and while they have never bitten anyone, the quick movements little ones make them feel threatening, so we don’t feel they would do well with children under 12.<br/><br/>Bentely is neutered and Lexi is spayed. Both dogs are current on vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm negative. They are currently in Lewes, DE and are available for an adoption fee of $800.00 for the pair.
