Bentley's Story
Meet Bentley – the long-legged sweetheart with a second chance at life!

Bentley is a stunning two-year-old mutt with striking white and gold markings and legs made for strutting. At about 58 pounds full grown, he’s the perfect medium-large companion for a family who wants an active, loyal best friend.

Bentley’s journey to us is nothing short of remarkable. He was first discovered in Tennessee by one of our amazing fosters, who was there helping her father move into a senior care facility. This handsome boy kept jumping the fence just to be near her dog, desperate for companionship. It didn’t take long to realize why: Bentley was severely malnourished, covered in fleas, and suffering from open wounds. Despite his rough condition, his gentle spirit and eagerness to connect shone through. We couldn’t leave him behind, so Bentley made the long cross-country trip to California — and he handled it like a champ!

Now fully vetted and healthy, Bentley is thriving. He’s an energetic, playful young dog who’s still discovering the joys of life beyond survival. With no formal training in his past, he’s learning everything for the first time — but he’s smart, eager to please, and so ready to bond with his people.

Bentley loves other dogs of all sizes and especially adores children. His goofy, affectionate nature means he has no sense of personal space — in his mind, he’s a lapdog the size of a Chihuahua! We haven’t seen him with cats yet, but given his sweet and social personality, we think he could adapt with proper introductions.

This boy would be a fantastic addition to an active family. He’d love to go for long walks, explore hiking trails, play in the yard, or hop in the car for any adventure. Most of all, Bentley just wants to be included in daily life and shower his people with love. With patience, consistency, and basic training, he’s going to grow into an incredible, well-rounded dog.

After everything he’s endured, Bentley is more than ready to find the forever home he deserves — a family who will cherish him, spoil him, and never let him go hungry or unloved again.
