Let me introduce you to this amazingly sweet and playful boy! His name is Benson and he is about 18 months old. He plays great with his foster kids which are over the age of 8. Benson loves playing fetch with a tennis ball. We have worked really hard on crate training and now he enjoys being in his crate with his blanket while we are away from the home and during the night. As soon as he hears that it’s dinner time, he runs right into his crate and sits for his food. He currently shares a home with large male dog, a large female dog, and a female puppy. He is a bit rough and rowdy when playing but, he is very gentle with the puppy and knows how to play appropriately with her. I would recommend that he be adopted into a home without another large male dog as he seems to build better connections with female dogs. Benson is always ready for a car ride and is such a good boy in the car. He is also a huge cuddle bug. He loves to lay his head on my chest or curl up for a nap. He has times where he is energetic and times where he just wants to lay around. Benson does have a bit of stranger danger and isn’t the type of dog you would take where there are lots of strangers. He would rather have a couple of regular dog playmates than being overwhelmed at a dog park with strangers and new dogs. He has a bit of a prey drive so I would not recommend him being in a home with cats. Benson is up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. He is up to date on vaccinations, is neutered, and microchipped. Benson is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.
