Benny's Story

Benny radiates lively, playful energy, making him a vibrant and enthusiastic companion. On walks, he enjoys exploring and may pick up little treasures along the way, though he’s cooperative when it’s time to “leave it”. At times, he can be a bit timid and unsure around new people, Benny’s excitement shines through when greeted by familiar faces, wagging his tail with joy. He adores his favorite walkers at the shelter, and his leash habits continue to improve with positive reinforcement. He knows basic commands like sit and stay, and responds well to feedback.

What Benny dreams most of is, a lively, loving home, where structure and guidance will help him $ourish as a cherished family member. Eager for new adventures, he’d love to hop in the car to explore new parks or join in on exciting excursions. At home, a fenced-in yard would be perfect for Benny to safely burn o' his playful energy, chasing after toys, or soaking up the sunshine. He likes to play tug of war and will give you one end of the toy to play with him. When it’s time to wind down, Benny is all about the cozy moments, he loves ear scratches and belly rubs, and will give you kisses in return. He’ll happily curl up with you on the couch, or by your feet while watching your favorite shows.

Benny would thrive as the only pet in the house, where he can be the center of attention and build a deep bond with his adult (and teen) human companions. He has enjoyed being with other dogs at the shelter during playtime in the yard. He would do best with a pro+cient, experienced dog owner(s) who can nurture his growth, and continue building his con+dence and skills. Benny is highly attentive and looks to his humans for feedback, eager to learn and improve. With continued guidance, training and patience, Benny will feel secure and gain the assurance to truly shine. Whether it’s sharing a fun adventure or just spending quality time together, Benny is ready to become your loyal, playful, and a'ectionate BFF you’ve always wanted. Are you that family for Benny?
