While these dogs are not directly in our rescue care, we are courtesy posting on her behalf to help them find the loving homes they deserve.

Benny is a 4–4.5-year-old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing 45–50 pounds. He is incredibly sweet, loves the water, and has a playful, fun-loving personality. He’s up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, crate trained, and fully potty trained.

Benny ended up at a rural shelter through no fault of his own. He plays well with other medium to large dogs, both male and female. If he notices tension between dogs, he’ll even step in as a peacemaker. He was previously adopted but returned due to improper introductions with another male dog. In his current home, he has had no issues playing appropriately with dogs his size or larger. Cats are unknown.

He rides well in the car and does not experience anxiety when left home alone. Benny would be happy as an only dog or with a compatible canine companion.

While he enjoys splashing in the pool, his absolute favorite activity is playing frisbee—he can leap and catch it mid-air for hours! He’s smart, handsome, and would thrive in an active, playful home. Benny has a medium energy level—he’s not hyper—but he does love to run, jump, and engage in fun activities.

This adorable, medium-sized guy is ready for his forever home. Could that be you?

On behalf of Karen Perl, the adoption fee is $350. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same. Thank you so much for your valuable support in helping these dogs find loving homes.

Submitting your application – that's Step 1 Step 2: Group Text Introduction We’ll start a group text chat with the dog’s foster or rescuer. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know more about the dog. If you'd like, we can also set up a video meet-and-greet through our phones for a more personal connection. Step 3: Virtual Home Visit We'll schedule a Google Meet or FaceTime call to virtually tour your home. We'll need to see common living areas and the yard—no need to show bedrooms. Please have a piece of mail with your address visible during the call. After this step I will call your references. Step 4: Adoption Contract Once everything checks out, I’ll submit your application to the board along with my recommendation for approval. While the final decision is up to them, they typically go with my recommendation. Step 5: Final Details This step includes a conversation about ownership, adoption fees, any applicable deposits, and transport arrangements (if needed) could be 5-30 days depending on time frame.
