Benny -ADOPTION PENDING's Story

I was a little fellow out on my own, and if I had a home no one came to find me. I spent a week at the county shelter before I was rescued. Now I'm in a safe loving environment and ready to start the next chapter of my life. I'm pretty tiny at 5lbs and my teeth were just awful, so they thought I was really old. After being cleaned up my foster mom thinks I'm maybe 10, or I could be 9, but I'm certainly not 14 like the shelter said I am. I love to play with the other small dogs at rescue. Since I don't have any teeth now I eat soft food, but I really L.O.V.E. to eat. When treats come out I'm first in line. My foster mom says "wait", so she can get really soft treats that I can "gum" before I swallow. I stand on my back legs with my front paws crossed. Very cute and endearing, which is what I am, and cuddly as well.

Act2Pups Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy

It is always best to make sure your pet(s) get along with the Act2Pups pet that you are interested in. This can be done at an adoption event, or an appointment can be arranged. We ask that all family members visit at the same time if possible. To start the adoption process a completed application is needed. (We currently do not have our application on line, but hope to soon). We will e-mail a copy of the application. Once the application is processed and approved a home visit is performed. This is done more to make sure any concerns pertinent to the dog you are interested in can be addressed. Most senior dogs don't require a large fenced yard. A trial adoption can begin with the home visit. Should the trial begin at the home visit, Act2Pups provides everything the dog requires. The trial usually lasts no more than a week.
