Meet Benny<br/><br/>Benny is a 6+ year old mixed breed with a calm spirit and an incredibly loving heart. This sweet boy is all about his people-he's happiest simply being by your side, whether that's hanging out at home or enjoying a nice, easy walk together.<br/><br/>He's not much of a toy guy, but he more than makes up for it with his love of companionship (and snacks!). Benny is highly food motivated and never misses a meal-he also enjoys a good frozen treat or a bone to settle in with.<br/><br/>Because of his size and occasional excitement (he can get a little jumpy when he's happy), Benny would do best in a home with older children who can handle his gentle but big presence.<br/><br/>Benny is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment with us at FMAR. Because of this, he's looking for a foster-to-adopt home-a family who can welcome him in now, love him through his treatment, and make things official once he's heartworm-free. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Benny's adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care he has received.<br/><br/>**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth.<br/>Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
