At just six months old and 25 pounds, he is still discovering the world around him and loves learning what makes you happy. Bennie is the perfect blend of playful energy and cozy companionship. He enjoys going for walks, exploring at your side, and then happily settling in for a well-earned nap. His favorite place to be is wherever you are, often curled up next to you or resting within eye sight. He also loves playing with his foster sisters – a good game of chase will have him grinning from ear-to-ear. One of his most endearing habits is carrying stuffed animals proudly around the house, as if showing off his treasured collection. He loves to chew on hard toys as well as plushies. Bennie is motivated to learn and ready to earn words of praise or a treat. Bennie has picked up house routines well: he already follows commands of “crate” and “go potty” when taken outside. He is housetrained as long as he is given the opportunity to go outside. He walks nicely on leash, happily following along just a step behind his person. He is calm and quiet in the car, though he does have a bit of motion sickness. This sweet boy would fit beautifully into almost any loving home where he will receive plenty of the affection he craves. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
