Bennie's Story

Meet Bennie

At just 12 pounds, Bennie is proof that the biggest hearts often come in the smallest packages.

This adorable 2 year old Sato from Puerto Rico was found all alone, desperately weaving back and forth across a busy road, somehow managing to avoid the speeding traffic. Thankfully, a kind person stopped before tragedy struck, giving Bennie the second chance he so deserved.

Today, that frightened little dog has blossomed into a happy, affectionate companion who is ready to find the family he's been waiting for.

Bennie loves riding in the car and is always excited to see where the next adventure will take him. When the day is done, his favorite place is snuggled up in bed with his foster mom, soaking up all the love and security he missed for far too long. He also enjoys playing with his toys and never says no to a tasty snack. In fact, treats are a great way to win this little guy's heart.

Bennie has a fun, playful personality and would love a family that enjoys spending time with him. While he isn't aggressive, he does have a habit of chasing the other small dogs in his foster home because he wants them to play. Unfortunately, they don't share his enthusiasm and would rather avoid him. Because of this, we think Bennie would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and never have to compete for toys, treats, or cuddles.

Bennie has so much love to give and is looking for a family that will cherish him, spoil him just a little, and promise that he'll never have to fend for himself again.

If you're looking for a loyal little companion who will happily ride shotgun on your adventures and cuddle beside you at night, Bennie may be your perfect match.

Bennie is 2 years old, weighs 12 pounds, and is ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a family that will love him forever.

If you're interested in adopting Bennie, please go to our website to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Info:
- Apply at https://www.heartsandtails.org/adoption-application
- Due to high inquiry volume, only applicants who appear to be a good match will be contacted.
