Benji scampers around the house very quickly and that may a bit much under foot for youngsters. He is also a fan of "kitty crunchies" so make sure he doesn't have access to the litter box!
Meals: Benji eats a combination of canned food and dry kibble twice a day. His favorite snack is anything that you offer him!
Meds: Nothing long term. He is being tapered off of prednisone from a respiratory infection.
Sleep style: In the people bed because there is nowhere better to be!
Snore-o-meter: 1/10
Bark-o-meter: 2/10. What more could a gentleman want?
Best accessory: A red coat and plaid cap
Favorite activity: On the daily, people watching from the back of the couch, the yard, the end of a leash.... pretty much wherever! But his REAL dream is to go up against Joey Chestnut in a hotdog eating contest. Benji might not win, but it would be a tight race!
Favorite season: Autumn! It's a great time of year to do some cross-country running and also have access to an abundance of food. He has heard Thanksgiving dinner is an absolute delight!
Personality: Professional snuggler, happy, playful, delighted, sweet

Benji came with a nasty ear infection. He had a Claro treatment on January 28, and will follow up with a vet to make sure it is gone. His teeth are either missing or ground down to the level of his gums. There is no sign of infection or inflammation, but an adopter will want to keep an eye on this in case anything changes in the future.

Based on how Benji was found and the fact that his teeth are ground down, it would seem that he had some rough days in his past. You would never know it now; Benji is a very sweet dog who wants nothing more than a warm home and people who love him. He is content to sit on the back of the couch and look out the window or snuggle up with a human. When it's time to play, he will grab a toy (or two) from the toy box and bring it to you to toss and then he will play with it on his own. Benji will also be a great companion for someone who enjoys getting out and going for walks.

Microchipped
Neutered
Housebroken (but he drinks a lot and needs to be let out very regularly. We also use a belly band at night just in case)
Unsure about crate training.
