This wonderful 18-month-old Shih Tzu mix weighs just 10 pounds, but his personality, courage, and sweetness are so much bigger than his size. He is truly amazing gentle, loving, resilient, and full of quiet confidence. Benji lost his eyes due to an untreated disease before coming into care, but those painful days are behind him now. He has received veterinary treatment and is healthy, neutered, and microchipped, and he is ready for the beautiful life he always deserved.<br/><br/>Benji does great in his foster home and gets along just wonderfully with everyone around him. He is good with other dogs, good with cats, and has a sweet, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be near. Because he is small and blind, he would do best with children over age 8 who understand how to be careful, gentle, and respectful around him. He does not need pity he simply needs kindness, patience, and people who see what we see: a happy, loving little companion who is already wonderful exactly as he is.<br/>One of the most special things about Benji is how beautifully he connects with his people. He will learn the sound of your voice, the rhythm of your steps, and the comfort of your presence.
