What is Blackjack Animal Rescue’s adoption process?

Please go to www.blackjackrescue.org and fill out an application under adopt menu. We have dogs placed in foster homes in many states including Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Connecticut. Our adoption fee helps to cover the costs associated with rescuing and vetting. Once your application is received, we will check references and call you to schedule a meet & greet or home visit. Depending on your location, the home visit may need to be completed by a rescue organization that is local to you. Once approved to adopt, pickup or third-party transport will be arranged for your new family member. It is our preference that you are able to personally meet the dog prior to adopting. We do not have a physical structure, but we have dedicated foster homes in many states. Please have your application completed in order to schedule the home visit or meet and greet.

Is Benji good with kids?

Benji is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Benji good with other animals?

Benji is good with other dogs. It is not known if Benji is good with cats.

When can I meet Benji?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Benji?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
