Benjamin's Story

A SWEET & HANDSOME FELLOW: Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 32 lbs.

Hi there, I’m Benjamin! I joined the Mostly Mutts family from animal control, and I’m thrilled to be here! I’m also excited to find my new family to love and live a great life with! Perhaps you? I got to participate in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was friendly and submissive with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an active, playful guy who loves to have fun and make friends! At first, I can be a little timid - especially around doors, gates, and new noises - but once I feel safe, my sweet personality really shines. I may dart around with excitement and pull a bit on my leash because I’m just so eager to explore, but with a little patience and encouragement, I’ll show you what a loving, happy companion I am. / Energy Level: 6-8.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. In the prison/foster training program, I did well in my crate during the day and slept outside of it at night. When left out of my crate during the day, I did get into something (oopsie!), so consider crating me when away. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule as well as in the prison/foster training program, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love rolling around, running and playing with toys, and I’m always up for cuddles, too. I recently went on a day trip to downtown Kennesaw with a volunteer, where I enjoyed sniffing all the fall scarecrows on our walk. I’m an easy-going, sweet boy, so let’s have fun together and discover lots more things we like doing together! / I can be a little hesitant to hop in the car, but once I'm in, I settle in nicely. With more practice, I hope to become more comfortable with getting in the car. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I’m a sweet guy looking for a great family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
