He’s great with kids, currently lives with a cat, and has been around dogs of all sizes. He does best when fed separately and when high-value toys are managed, as he can exhibit some resource guarding.<br/><br/>Benelli has anxiety and can be shy or vocal when meeting new people. He needs slow introductions and someone who understands that his initial uncertainty isn’t aggression — just nerves. Once he feels safe, he becomes a total Velcro dog who bonds deeply with his person. He does have some general anxiety especially around unpredictable environments or a lot going on. He will often let you know when he needs space by standing by the back door.<br/><br/>He does well on a leash, crate trained, knows all basic commands, and loves fetch of any kind.
