Bender's Story
Bender
Our longest residing resident (3 years this September)

Bender is a loving, playful, smart, treat loving guy that we are still working on understanding. His engagements with Duke have been nothing but positive (when toys are not involved), and his rough and rowdy play with Cookie (currently with Puppies for Parole program in Cameron) has shown us that he can get along with dogs his size and not try to overpower them with aggression.

It took us a while to get there, but we feel that he CAN be integrated with other LARGE/BIG dogs in a home if properly introduced and not just "thrown into the deep end". We do feel that small animals (cats and small dogs) and small farm animals are still a no go with him because we do still see predator tendencies from him when out on walks.

He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm free, and about 60 pounds.
