Ben's Story

Meet Ben — The Banana-Loving Howler Boy!

If you’re looking for a quirky best friend with a big heart and an even bigger awhooooo, Ben might just be your soulmate. This handsome guy is all personality, from sunbathing like he’s on vacation 24/7, to curling up for snuggles like it’s his full-time job. He loves long walks, cozy naps, and will gladly share a banana with you (yes… bananas are his absolute favorite treat).

The Real Ben

Ben isn’t just cute, he’s smart, loyal, and deeply connected to his people. Like many dogs, he can be nervous with new visitors in the home, especially men. He needs someone who will advocate for him, give him structure, and take things at his pace. Once he trusts you, he loves deeply and wholeheartedly.

Because of his sensitivity, Ben would do best in:
• A cat-free home
• A home with older children (or none)
• A family willing to continue training and give him safe, structured introductions with guests

With consistency, patience, and support, we believe he can feel even more comfortable with visitors, cats, and possibly younger kids over time.

Health Info;

Ben occasionally gets itchy “hot spots” on his chest and hind legs. His vet believes it’s just a mild allergy (possibly sand irritation from his current yard). Gentle baths and Aquaphor help, and they come and go. He’s happy, healthy, and ready for his forever family to help him thrive!

Training & Support

Ben is one of our Best Chance Program dogs, which means he comes with:
• Two free training sessions with our partner trainers at Mirror Image K9
• Lifetime support from our team whenever you need guidance

Want to learn more about our training philosophy?
