Ben's Story
Meet Ben!

Ben is a charming 2-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 13 pounds with a playful spirit and a big heart. He loves being around his people, enjoys food (a lot!), and has a great time running around the park soaking up life.

Ben can be a little unsure when first meeting new people or dogs, but once he has a chance to sniff and get comfortable, he warms up quickly and becomes very affectionate — even a bit needy in the sweetest way. He enjoys being pet and loves attention from his trusted humans.

Ben is potty trained, crate trained, enjoys going for walks, and does well in the car. He has a medium energy level, making him a great fit for apartment living or a home without a yard. He does have a marking behavior, which is something his future family should be aware of and prepared to manage with consistency and guidance.

Ben was sadly abandoned in a park with his sister Jen, tied to a tree without food or water. Despite his past, he remains loving, playful, and ready to be part of a family who will never leave him behind again.

***Special Washington Adoption Weekend***

This dog will be traveling all the way from Baja, Mexico, to Lacey, Washington, for our special adoption weekend! We expect to have more than 30 dogs available and would love to have as many of them pre-adopted—or families pre-approved—as possible before they arrive.

Visit www.tragictomagic.org/wa for event details, available dogs, and application information.

Not quite ready to adopt? We are also urgently looking for temporary foster homes during the event weekend. Fostering can help prevent a dog from having to make the long trip back to Mexico if they are not adopted.

We also need volunteers throughout the three-day event. Even helping for just a few hours on one day would make a tremendous difference!
