Belle's Story

Meet Belle, a beautiful, gentle one-year-old girl who came to us from South Carolina with her siblings, seeking a safe, loving family of her own. All of her siblings looked like chocolate or black labs; she was the unique cutie patootie that looked more like a Staffordshire Terrier with unique, adorable markings.

She quickly found a loving home, but through no fault of her own, circumstances changed, and she's now looking for her true forever family. She did live with toddlers there and was always a sweetheart with them.

Belle is super friendly with everyone and every animal. She wiggles her whole body with excitement and must have a toy in her mouth at all times! She likes to play tug, but don't ever expect to win ;)

Our goal is a home where Belle doesn't have to be crated often. She is well-behaved when given free rein and doesn't chew or destroy things. Sadly, we believe she was over-crated as a puppy due to her high energy and limited walks or playtime. This is why we have a thorough application and adoption process, though it's not completely foolproof.

Belle is doing well on leash walking; she was initially getting overly excited and choking herself, but after using a harness and walking with some calmer older dogs, she is doing great. She has plenty of energy for hiking, running, and playing in the yard, or she's happy snuggling on the couch under the blankets with a toy in her mouth.

Belle will make a very special and loyal family member.

Please complete our application here: https://airtable.com/appV5pXp3DhFrF6ih/shrx6XhGytB9TIrE6

*Belle possibly has a sensitivity to chicken ingredients in dog food. She was having some mild skin rashes, but feeding her food/treats without chicken and giving a daily Benadryl has been working perfectly for her; no skin issues at all.

Chicken allergies in dogs are very common now for some reason; we highly recommend that everyone watch out for them. If your dog is having stomach issues (digestive issues or soft stool/diarrhea) or skin issues, 99% of the time it's the food you are feeding them.
