Bella's Story
Meet Bella!

Bella is an almost 9-year-old (11-14-17) Husky with the sweetest soul, a funny personality, and plenty of spunk left in those spring-loaded legs! Don’t let her age fool you—this girl still loves to zoom around the backyard and show off her athletic side.

Bella is incredibly gentle, loving, and affectionate. She has a charming way of making you smile with her silly quirks and expressive personality. She will even “talk” to you with the most adorable little “ooooooo” sounds while throwing her head all the way back. She is truly a character!

Bella can be shy when she first meets people or enters a new environment. When things feel overwhelming, she may retreat to her crate, which is her safe and happy place. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality really comes out. She loves being near her people, getting attention, and relaxing on her blanket. She is perfectly content to just chill and enjoy the comforts of home.

She does well with other dogs and, after she warms up, may even ask them to play. However, Bella is protective of her crate and her food. She eats her meals in her crate and may get snippy with other dogs if they approach her while she is eating or in her safe space. Her new family will need to respect these boundaries and give her a place where she can enjoy her meals and decompress without being disturbed.

Bella is good with children, but she will do best with slow, calm introductions. If there is too much activity at first, she may choose to retreat to her crate until she feels comfortable. She is also cat friendly.

Bella is house trained and crate trained. Her crate is an important part of her routine and should remain available to her in her new home as her own safe space.

Her previous owner reported that Bella can jump a 4-foot fence, so her family will need to be especially mindful of her when she is outside. Supervised outdoor time and secure containment will be important to keep this athletic girl safe.

Bella would love a calm, comfortable home with someone who understands that senior dogs have so much love left to give. She doesn't need a busy or complicated life—she simply wants to feel safe, loved, included, and cherished.

Her perfect family will appreciate her funny little personality, respect her need for a safe space, and give her the patience she needs while she settles in. In return, Bella will give them her sweet presence, silly “oooooos,” affectionate nature, and all the love her nearly nine years have taught her to give.

Bella's golden years deserve to be filled with soft beds, cozy blankets, treats, belly rubs, zoomies, and a family who will love her for exactly who she is.

If you're looking for a sweet senior Husky with a little sass, a lot of personality, and plenty of love left in her heart, Bella may be your girl!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an adoption application.
