Meet Bella
Hi, my name is Bella! Are you my new forever home? I sure hope so!
My foster says I am a young 9-year old with plenty of spunk and love to share. I recently relocated to the Pacific NW after I got separated from my owners during the California wildfires. I am very calm and quiet. I don’t have much to say so I hardly bark, although I have been known to snore. I am fully house trained and have been working on my crate training, occasionally am even spotted hanging out in there for a quick snooze. My foster family tells me how polite and smart I am, I always sit when they ask and we have been learning some cool new tricks during our free time. I am extremely affectionate and love to sit right at your feet, whether you are working or watching TV. But I also understand that I can’t always be near you and will quietly hang out in my own space while you are tending to other responsibilities. I’ll admit, I do get anxious around other dogs and cats are much too fun to chase, so I need a home where I’m the only four-legged pet. My foster home has been working with a trainer to help understand my discomfort around other dogs, so we are focusing our training within the boundaries of our own backyard so I can give them my full attention. Walks outside of our yard tend to be overwhelming, so I will need an adopter that has a securely fenced yard, preferably not see through, so I can continue my training and work towards building up my comfort level so that we can have enjoyable walks through our neighborhood in the future. I am a sensitive gal and need an understanding adopter who will enjoy our life together at home, as I may never be an outdoorsy kind of gal. I believe in being kind, polite, and respectful, and I promise I will stay that way with you! I would be content to just quietly sit in the same room with you and bonus if there is a comfy place to sleep. Of course, a good neck scratch or some peanut butter is always welcome too. And if you’re really feeling generous, I like to stay warm and toasty, so I’d happily strut my stuff in a cozy sweater. I know with patience I’ll find my perfect home, and my people describe me as very deserving of that.
