Bella's Story

A very deserving girl, Bella, was rescued from Irvington, NJ where she was used as a breeding dog. She gave birth a few months ago, but all of her puppies were sold on craigs list at a very young age, leaving her all alone. She was listed for free and that is when she came into our lives in our rescue.

Because Bella was being used as a breeding dog, she was shamefully mistreated and was not taught how to be a family pet. Her patient foster mom is working diligently to help her learn about housebreaking, walking on a leash, playing with toys, and enjoying simple pleasures like all dogs deserve. She has no understanding of the joy of outside walks to smell the marvelous smells and experience the world; this poor soul has been inhumanely locked up in a crate all of her little life. Yet despite her treatment, she wants so badly to trust new humans and to be loved. Ironically, she loves her crate. It's been her safe haven all her life. So this little lovey is fully-crate trained, which is the first step towards housebreaking.

Little Bella needs to learn how to be a "loved" doggie and has some initial fear/hesitance walking on her leash. She has never had the opportunity to experience the freedom of leisurely walks before arriving to RRR. We believe she had been held captive inside an urban apartment her entire young life.

We are hoping our little girl attracts someone gentle, patient, and compassionate to help her through all of her new "firsts" as she evolves toward becoming a beloved family pet. She would do best as an only dog. What a magical metamorphosis you'll get to experience as you see for yourself the healing power of love.

And while she does not yet understand the function of toys, she certainly loves to lay her little head on stuffies when she is resting and relaxing. And what a beautiful sight that is!

We're looking for a hero for our sweet little soul could that be you?

APPLY TO ADOPT NOW!!

https://rosemariesrescueranch.com/dog-adoption/

In the Consideration section, under 'Application Notes', please tell us about yourself to help us get a feel for you and your family, and as a fit for the pet you are interested in.
