Bella's Story

Bella and Django have been here several times. Bella is 8 and Django is 2. Django has been with Bella all of his life. We would like to keep them together, but we understand that may not be possible. Bella is a dominant dog and doesn't get along with everyone else. As long as things are calm, she is fine, but if things get too exciting, she starts to get pushy.<br/><br/>Bella loves people. Even for an older girl, she is super playful. In the past two years, we have treated Bella for an eye infection and had a mass removed from her body. We have brought her up-to-date on her vaccinations, kept her up on heartworm medication when she is here (she tested negative for heartworms), treated her for fleas and ticks, spayed her, and microchipped her. <br/><br/>Bella and Django's situation is complicated. Their previous owner was given one final chance to take care of them properly, but we found them running the streets again. This has happened too much to them. They deserve stability and a loving home.

In effort to streamline the process to get our animals adopted we have put our adoption application online. To adopt our available animals: 1. Go to Petfinder.com to find an animal you are interested in meeting. 2. Fill out our adoption application online. 3. Make an appointment to come meet the animal you are interested in. 4. Adopt a new Family member and save a life! Thank you for your patience with us as we try to serve our community better. Please bear with us as we not only have adoptable animals, we have many animals we care for that are not available due to holds placed on them by law or for medical or emotional needs of the animals under our care. We check our calls numerous times daily in between cleaning, walking, caring for, taking to medical appointments and answering animal control calls.
