BELINDA's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Heartworm PositiveHi I'm Belinda,

A beautiful brindle boxer who is about 3 years old.

I am petite, strikingly beautiful brindle female boxer with a heart as big as my soulful eyes. My journey has had a rough start. The bet thinks that I was a breeding female. It appears I've had several litters of puppies. I don't remember, I was never given the chance to care for my puppies just birth them.

Thanks to the loving care of HBR I received the medical care I needed. Now, I am healthy, happy and ready to find my forever home.

I am a Toy Enthusiast, I adore toys especially my lamb chop and I don't chew them up. I just play with them.

I am a bundle of energy in a petite package, always up for a run in the yard or a brisk walk around the neighborhood. I am happiest when I am with my people. I know how to form strong bonds with them but it might take me a day or so.

While I take a little time to warm up to other dogs, with patience and proper introductions, I can make canine friends. I do well with older, senior dogs that are calmer. I get along fine with my foster's dog Dolly. She is 9 and is a golden pyrenees. She is a big senior girl and I like to hang out with her. I'm always ready for an adventure and loves going for car rides. I love mealtime and I'll do just about anything for a treat. I'd be a great running partner.

I am looking for an active family who will understand my past and appreciate my resilient spirit. I have some separation anxiety, not overwhelming, but I do miss my people when they are away. I am crate trained and I don't try to get out of my crate. I am a good girl in my crate. I do not destroy things or I have not tried to break out of my crate. But I do talk a lot and let you know that I miss you.

If you are searching for a devoted, playful, and beautiful boxer to join your family, I am ready to start my new chapter with you! Give me a chance and the ending I deserve.

Love Belinda

We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. Houston Boxer Rescue's Adoption Policy
An must be completed by every prospective family. Why, you ask? Because we consider you pivotal to the successful forever future of a VIB (Very Important Boxer)! You may fill out an online application or if you e-mail us, we will supply a Word document to fill out. Please be patient with our nosy questions. We understand the application is lengthy however, each question has a reason behind it. A complete application helps us discern the best match for your family! It also demonstrates a level of commitment on your part. Our boxers are not "just dogs" and our adoptive families are not "just people"! An incomplete application form must be sent back to you. This causes delay and disappointment, two words we would rather not have associated with your HBR experience. Let's work together! Continue to check the e-mail address from which your application was submitted. When your application is processed, we will attempt to make contact both by e-mail and phone. Keep in mind we are an all volunteer group. Although we have families and jobs that take precedence in our lives, we work hard to save the breed we love! We are committed to doing our best to facilitate the adoption process and make it as pleasant as possible! When the application is received a volunteer will contact you to schedule a Home Visit. There is a $27.00 Home Visit Fee which is nonrefundable. This policy is in effect for reasons we will be glad to discuss at the time of your interview. Your Home Visit Volunteer will be the point of contact within HBR until an adoption is completed. Once approved, an appointment will be set for you (a Very Important Person), to meet our Very Important Boxers! If you have questions, please ask your Home Visit Volunteer, he or she will be delighted to help!
