💙RESILIENT, GENTLE, AND FULL OF GRATITUDE💙<br/><br/>Hi, I’m Beleu 💙<br/><br/>I’m a calm, quiet, and gentle soul who’s just beginning to show the world who I really am. I’ve been through a traumatic experience, but I’m healing—both physically and emotionally—and every day I feel a little more confident and comfortable.  I’m ready to share my story from a much brighter place. Last year, I found myself caught in a bear trap. I did what I had to do to survive, and thanks to quick action from animal control and an amazing veterinary team, my leg was saved. Today, it has healed beautifully, and I only have a couple more weeks of bandage changes before that chapter is completely behind me.<br/><br/>I’m sweet, friendly, and incredibly easy to live with. I walk very well on a leash, stay calm on walks, and don’t react much to the world around me. Inside the home, I’m polite and peaceful. I’m house-trained with no accidents and patiently wait until I’m taken out. I don’t bark (seriously—not even once!), don’t counter surf, and I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t. I recently discovered how great a deer antler chew is, and the joy it brought me was something special.<br/><br/>I’m great with both men and women, do well with other dogs, and I peacefully coexist with my kitty foster sibling. I haven’t been tested with kids yet, but my gentle nature suggests I’d continue to do well with calm, respectful introductions.<br/><br/>Affection is one of my favorite things. I love all kinds of petting—belly rubs, head pats, even paw touches. Sometimes I’ll quietly place myself right at eye level when you’re sitting, just to ask for a little love. I also enjoy brushing and am happy to relax nearby while you go about your day. I usually choose the floor for sleeping and haven’t quite accepted the invitation to the couch… yet.<br/><br/>I’m still recovering and taking things easy for now, but my foster mom thinks that once I’m fully healed, I’ll enjoy running and maybe even playing ball. She also says says it’s wonderful to watch me come out of my shell, and I think so too. I’m learning my basic commands, ride nicely in the car (with a little help getting in), and do just fine being left alone when needed.<br/><br/>I may startle occasionally at unexpected sounds or movements, likely leftover nerves from my past, but those moments are rare and I recover quickly. Mostly, I’m alert, attentive, and calm—just soaking in this new, safe life.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion with a resilient spirit and a heart full of gratitude, I’d love to meet you.
