Behr's Story

Behr - Very Sweet boy but would do best in a home with no small children. We don’t believe he had a very nice life before rescue. He is very hand shy, so if you quickly move your hands around him, he will flinch and cower. He is shy and reactive at first but once he trust you, he is a wonderful boy. He does love to hug but will need someone who is experienced with advanced training. He will be your teddy bear with cuddles and Behr hugs. This fee includes: Spay/Neuter, microchip, all current vaccinations, and flea/tick treatment. Our dogs are also given monthly heart worm medication in our care. Hope Animal Rescues's Adoption Policy

How to Adopt a Dog First know that our pets live on a 14 acre private sanctuary. We have no open hours and all visits must be pre-approved and scheduled. First Steps After finding a dog on our website you will need to fill out the application form so you can be approved to visit and meet pets within our care. We will then contact you within three days so we can set up an appointment. Further Details If you have a current dog/pet(s) do bring them with you if possible to make sure everyone likes each other. We do promote a trial period for adult dogs before you commit to the adoption. We do not allow this for puppies as they will need training and will be the dog you raise them to be. We will adopt to homes anywhere in the United States but we will not ship dogs. Adoption fees for Dogs and Puppies is $275.00 Dogs of age are spayed or neutered and all dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. Dogs over six months are tested for heartworms. All dogs are on heartworm and flea prevention while in our care.

Hope Rescues saves dogs on their last day of life from animal control. We rescue all breeds and all conditions if space allows. We provide love, vet care and enrichment until a proper home can be found.
